The Comstock Shootout

The Tournament is held at the Edmond's Sports Complex in Carson City, Nevada. The Tournament is run by the Comstock Sports Organization, a 501c3 non-profit public charity. All fees are used to pay for the expenses of the tournament and to support activities provided by the Comstock Sports Organization, a non-profit organization.


This is an open invitational tournament. Teams affiliated with USYSA, US Club Soccer & AYSO are encouraged to apply. We apply for approval from all three organizations (see lower right side of this page for tournament form links). Teams are expected to supply appropriate paperwork from their respective organizations.

2012 Fees are not yet set, but are expected to be similar to 2011 (and 2010). These were:

U10 Fees - $500 all others $600 (includes referee commitment fee, see below)

Refunds - Within 30 days of tournament check-in, no refund is provided unless a replacement team willing to pay the full entry fee is found.

Referees

Our tournament requires that each team supply at least two referees to help officiate the tournament. Part of the tournament fee is a referee commitment fee -- a deposit which is refunded to each team as referees work the tournament. Fees returned are: one referee - $75, two referees $150. Referees must have substantial experience at appropriate levels of play and be readily assignable.

The Comstock has a reputation of treating our referees well, with great games and colleagues, various gifts, multi-game incentives, and refreshments. Thanks in advance for keeping this tradition alive.
