The 2013 20th Comstock Shootout Tournament is now complete. A huge thank you to the dozens of volunteers who helped make the tournament a success. The volunteer referee corps covered 748 referee slots during the course of the two weekends -- a job done well. Bravo!
The success of the tournament is always due to the character of the players themselves . They make this a fun weekend. This year, we had great teams, sportsmanship, and tremendous effort by every player on the 152 teams who participated. Thank you!
Our sponsor organizations did a great job. We know they enjoyed the tournament as much as we did.

Started in 1994, the Comstock Shootout is Nevada's oldest soccer tournament. The tournament is held at the Edmonds Sports Complex in Carson City, Nevada, typically on the last two weekends in April. The open invitational tournament has boys and girls divisions from U10 through U19 in a variety of game formats and competitive divisions.
Carson City, Nevada's capital, sits at the foot of the Sierras. With a friendly, small town, feel and capital city amenities, it's a great place to stay during a tournament weekend. The natural beauty of Lake Tahoe is just ten miles away. Internationally renowned entertainment and gaming are available in nearby Reno and Lake Tahoe.
The Tournament is run by volunteers organized by the Comstock Sports Organization, a 501(c)3 non-profit charity. Proceeds from the event are used to support scholarships, training and education of coaches and referees, youth sports activities, and facility improvements.
