Please read the rest of this page to make certain you understand how to check your assignments, how to report problems, and when / where to check in.

A. REFEREE SCHEDULES Above please find schedules for BOYS WEEKEND (April 24 and 25) the referee assignments for the Comstock Tournament. Please look over the Referee Assignment Report.pdf file carefully. I have also attached another file sthat shows games where we still need referees. Please feel free to look at this file, and see what else you can do. Yes, we do have 6 game gifts for those of you working 6 or more games!

B. BLOCKED TIMES Parents -- We never have you work during your child's game (unless you want to). We should have you blocked at those times. If we goofed, see below on reporting a problem. Head Coaches (1 per team) -- We tried to block you for the time period before your game and during the game. You may have an assignment immediately after. If so, then please verify that it is near your game (fields 1 through 6 are near each other, fields 7 through 10 are near each other). Our expectation is that your assistant may cool down your team while you race to start your match on time. Assistant Coaches -- Your game time itself is blocked.

C. REPORTING A PROBLEM Although we tried to avoid conflicts, if we goofed, we will try to fix it. Here's what you do. 1. Note the GAME NUMBER. 2. Send an email to referee @ comstockshootout.org with -- Subject line: PROBLEM GAME ________ (game number) -- ______ (your last name) -- In the message body put the following: -- Your name -- the game number you cannot do -- your child's team (we may have it wrong in the database) name, gender, division, and coach name -- an explanation of the problem. If we need to talk, include a phone number. Otherwise, please include a useful email address. -- DO NOT reply to this email address, send mail to referee@comstockshootout.org! Email sent to the address on this note will not get read. 3. We will get back to you with any further questions or to update you about game changes.

D. REQUESTING A GAME FROM THE HOLES LIST 1. Note the GAME NUMBER. 2. Send an email to referee @ comstockshootout.org with -- Subject line: GAME REQUEST ________ (game number) -- ______ (your last name) -- In the message body put the following: -- Your name -- the game number you'd like to request -- the position you would like (AR, Center) -- DO NOT reply to this email address, send mail to referee@comstockshootout.org! Email sent to the address on this note will not get read. 3. We will get back to you regarding your request. We really appreciate folks stepping up. However, your request may not get granted because (a) someone else has already filled the hole; (b) your certification level or experience is not sufficient. Please don't be upset if we cannot grant you that particular game -- I am sure we can find you another one!

E. REFEREE CHECK IN Check in is at the Marriott Courtyard -- the same place as the tournament check in -- from 6 to 8:30 pm We much prefer you appear, but if you know you cannot make check in, please email us to tell us (referee@comstockshootout.org):. -- Subject Line: MISSING CHECK IN _____ (your last name) -- In your email, please confirm that your schedule is okay. Then when you arrive at Edmonds Fields, come and tell us you are here (and let us give you some referee thank you gifts). Tournament HQ and the referee assignors are in the score booth in between all the softball fields, right in the center of the complex.
